Warehousing Function in summary deals with Receipts,Storage and Issuing of Good.The management aspects involve planning,organizing,deploying/implementing,evaluation,strategizing etc.In this regards therefore warehousing management requires a set of skills to manage it.The knowledge span from academic general materials  management knowledge to specific products general knowledge being stores.As you might be aware different type of goods/materials requires different type of storage conditions,receipt methods and sometimes issuing methods.This also goes hand in hand with handling equipment involved as well personal protective equipment (PPE).In this area we shall be discussing on various warehousing functions and challenges thereof.The discussion shall be mainly from practical point of view rather than purely academic.Feel free to contribute.
